The best thing about living in Pioneer Woodlands is that you are literally in the middle of a bustling metropolis, which means you are always within reach of anything that you might ever need. For instance, if you are looking for schools, there are plenty of them to choose from. Just a short drive from the main gate of the community, and you will reach Shaw Boulevard. There, you will find the Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, and the STI College Mandaluyong Campus. Head southbound along EDSA and you will find even more educational institutions, like Poveda and Dela Salle University Greenhills in San Juan City.

If you are looking for commercial establishments, you don’t have to look far as there is already a mall right outside the main gate of Pioneer Woodlands. Just a couple of meters away, so close that you can just walk, lies the Robinson’s Place Pioneer, which is an upscale shopping mall and department store. Now, if you need a bit more, you will just need to ride a couple of minutes in a car or bus to reach SM Megamall, a massively huge shopping center that has hundreds of different shops and boutiques that you can choose from. You will actually need more than one day to see all there is to see in this massive mall. If you are looking for great bargains and cheap finds, just walk behind the main building of SM Megamall to find St. Francis Square.

The real selling point of Pioneer Woodlands is how accessible it is. Do you work in Makati? It’s just a 15- to 20-minute car ride and that is in the middle of the rush hour traffic. The Woodlands is actually along the part of EDSA where the traffic is the lightest and that goes all the way to Makati City. Now, if you do not want to drive, you can just walk on over to the Boni-Pioneer MRT III Station and catch a northbound train. After two stops, you will find yourself in the Makati CBD. Now, if you’re bound for Quezon City, you can just hop on the MRT and in twenty minutes or so, you will be at the North Avenue station, which will soon be the middle of Quezon City’s CBD.

Speaking of public transportation, you will not have any problem finding them when you live in Pioneer Woodlands. On EDSA, you will find hundreds of buses that ply different routes in Metro Manila. You can take them if you want to go north to Pasay City, or if you want to go to the deep south to Malabon. You can get anywhere if you know which buses to ride. Aside from buses, you can also find numerous taxis buzzing about, and since the community is right beside a busy shopping mall, finding a taxi is quite easy. Yes, there are times when the traffic jams can get unbearable, but since you are living just a couple of kilometers away from everything, waiting a couple more minutes extra to get home will not be much of a sacrifice.
